Alexander Shananen serves as Dean of the Moscow University School of Management and Applied Mathematics, Head of the Department of Control and Applied Mathematics at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, etc. He was a member of the American Mathematical Society. He is the author of more than 90 scientific papers and books, and his research interests include mathematical modeling of economic systems, the theory of aggregation of economic descriptions, and the study of aggregation conditions for economic indicators.
