Yuri Popkov is a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, an expert in the field of information technology and automation of complex systems. He is also the Director of the Institute of Systems Analysis of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Yuri Popkov is the author of more than 130 scientific works, including 10 monographs. He was awarded the Order of Friendship of the Russian Federation, the title of Honorary Scientist of the Russian Federation, the medal commemorating the 850th anniversary of Moscow, the medal “Labor Veteran” and other honors.
