Wang Chenhaozhi is a dedicated PhD student at the Institute of Area Studies, Peking University (PKUIAS), specializing in Russian and Central Asian higher education. During his doctoral studies, Wang was funded by the China Scholarship Council to pursue study at the Faculty of Political Science, Lomonosov Moscow State University, as a Visiting PhD Student. He also conducted short-term field research in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Tajikistan.
Wang’s academic achievements include being the first author of several notable publications, including How the International Branch Campuses of Russian Universities Achieve Sustainable Development in Central Asia in International and Comparative Education (CSSCI, PKU core, 2023) and A Study of the Historical Changes of the Selection Methods of the Presidents of Russian Universities in Journal of Area Studies (Vol. 6, 2022). His research also explores collaborative innovation in digital fields between China and Russia, which was presented in the think tank report of PKUIAS, The Digital Field: A New Focus for Political, Industrial, Academic, and Research Cooperation between China and Russia (2021).
Wang has actively participated in several academic projects, including A Study on the Structural Characteristics and Evolutionary Patterns of Public Opinion on Chinese Education in Mainstream Media in Southeast Asia, Research on Health Security and Global Health Strategies in Eurasian Countries and Organizations — A Case Study of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and Its Member States, Belarus, and Ukraine, and Development of the Central Asia Research Literature Database Platform at Peking University.
Wang’s academic excellence has earned him numerous accolades, including the Excellent Student Leader of Peking University (2023), the Peking University Exceptional Award for Academic Innovation (2022), the Merit Student of Peking University (2021), and the President’s Scholarship of Peking University (2021).
As a research assistant at IDEAS, Wang leverages his interdisciplinary expertise to advance studies in the digital economy and artificial systems, contributing to innovative solutions that bridge regional insights with global challenges.
