On September 10, 2024, the project of cooperation between BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center and Xinjiang Yuli Digital Economy Industrial Park was signed and launched at the BRICS Forum on Partnership on New Industrial Revolution 2024, with plans to build a BRICS Intelligent Computing and Data Assets Laboratory in Xiamen, carry out scientific research on domestically produced storage and computing chip. The R&D results will be transformed in Xiamen, and the products will be supplied to Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture of Bayingolin to create arithmetic power clusters and build a Digital Economy Industrial Park, attracting projects with demand of high computing power from our center.
This model fully integrates Xiamen’s advantages in scientific research and international cooperation, Xinjiang’s advantages in energy and location, and creates exemplary projects for “ National computing network to synergize east and west” and “Digital Silk Road”. It aims to outsource resources from China and reach out to Central Asian countries. This Project will continue to provide green computing power for BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center and serve the needs of international computing cooperation in scientific research.
